The dirham, dirhem or drahm is a unit of currency and of mass. It is the name of the currencies of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, and is the name of a currency subdivision in Jordan, Libya, Qatar and Tajikistan. It was historically a silver coin.

Gold dinar - The gold dinar is an Islamic medieval gold coin first issued in AH 77 by Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan. The weight of the dinar is 1 mithqal. The word dinar comes from the Latin word denarius, which was a silver coin.
Fals - The fals was a medieval copper coin first produced by the Umayyad caliphate beginning in the late 7th century. The name of the coin is derived from the follis, a Roman and later Byzantine copper coin. The fals usually featured ornate Arabic script on both sides.
